About
We are Welwyn Hatfield Community Services. The charity supports the less privileged in the community, we aim to reduce loneliness in the community . Currently , we hold sessions in Woodhall Community Center where we repair and amend any clothing or materials . In these sessions, we do alterations while you wait and have a cup of tea or coffee. We reach out to the elderly who are unable to come to our sessions and do their alterations. We also extend our hands to law-offenders to prevent re offending by teaching sewing as a skill for life, as well as women who have suffered domestic violence so that we can give them the courage to continue with their lives.
We are a group of people whose main aim is to encourage every woman in our local community to stay locally connected. By so doing we hope to reduce social exclusion and at the same time learn from each other formally and informally, keeping ourselves busy and learning new skills through our sewing and garment alteration activities. We also teach and learn skills on how to organise/serve food for large gatherings such as parties and weddings.

Our HISTORY
As a small group of women, we identify areas that need action in our community and assist with sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since we started our charity work, all thanks to the help and cooperation of amazing members of the community of Welwyn Hatfield and our Funders!
